Learn about the high impact practices and cutting edge techniques used by geoscientists at the Exploring GEOPATHS Summer Institute for Florida Atlantic University students. The program is organized by Florida Atlantic University and Palm Beach State College, and funded by the National Science Foundation.

Limited spaces available. Only open to Florida Atlantic University students.


  • Earn $100 stipend as a student participant, no prior experience required
  • Learn about careers and pursuing academics in Geosciences: Geology, Geography/GIS, Climate Change
  • Gain fieldwork experience learning high tech applications in the Florida coastal environment
  • Experience hands-on research opportunities with group transportation provided from/back to Boca Raton campus, and lunch included.
  • Work with peers, graduate student researchers, and expert geoscientists

 - Coastal Processes and Survey on the Coast
- Mapping Beach Morphology with Drones
- Imaging the Subsurface with Ground Penetrating Radar
- Understanding Geoscience careers and opportunities
