Certifications in Exercise Science and Health Promotion
The purpose of this Continuing Education course is to provide students with basic clinical skills that will ensure meaningful medical experiences (through shadowing or volunteering) prior to entering a health-related graduate program (medical, dental, pharmacy, physician assistant, veterinary, physical therapy, podiatry, and optometry).
Students will have the opportunity to complete CPR certification. Learn Blood Pressure skills, patient care and history, Vital signs, Blood Borne Pathogens, HIPAA training, and common medical errors, and recognize how the 12 lead ECG relates to the areas of the heart.
Session 1: October 4 to November 5
Students will be required to attend one mandatory in-person session. The date for the in-person sessions is November 17 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., this will include a CPR Certification.
Basic Clinical Skills is only open to FAU students at a cost of $125
The course is being offered online via Canvas.
Refund Policy for Continuing education Courses.
Once the class starts we are not able to provide a refund. However, prior to the start of the class, a 20% fee will be charged for processing and university fees.
