The Department of Mathematical Sciences hosted the 50th Southeastern International Conference on Combinatorics, Graph Theory and Computing (SEICCGTC) on March 4-8, 2019 on the FAU Boca Raton campus. This longstanding conference has been hosted by FAU’s Fred Hoffman, Ph.D., a Professor of Mathematics, for 40 years. Read more

Meet Medical Physics Alumna Marjan Shojaei

Marjan Shojaei graduated with her Professional Science Master in Medical Physics (PSMMP) from FAU in the fall of 2018 and is currently working at the South Florida Proton Therapy Institute (SFPTI) as a Medical Physicist Assistant. SFPTI is a new cancer treatment facility that uses groundbreaking photon and proton therapy to deliver focused beams of radiation to tumors. Read more.


Dr. Rainer Steinwandt Awarded 2018 NATO Science for Peace and Security Partnership Prize

FAU’s Dr. Rainer Steinwandt was awarded the 2018 NATO Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Partnership Prize at the NATO SPS program’s 60th anniversary on November 29, 2018. The anniversary was celebrated with a gala at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, where Dr. Steinwandt and his team were one of three outstanding multi-year projects to earn an SPS Partnership Prize award.
